Pick a day
The Summary view (/summary) includes a date picker so you can open any day that has (or could have) summary data. Today is the default when you want a quick read of what Overshow distilled from recent capture.
Knowledge cards
For the selected day, Overshow presents knowledge cards that cluster information into useful buckets, for example:
- Facts. stable statements the system extracted from your activity.
- Decisions. choices or conclusions worth remembering.
- Learnings. insights or takeaways the summarisation pass highlighted.
Card layout and labels follow the shipping UI; the intent is scannable recall, not a raw dump of captures.
App usage breakdown
Many builds include an app usage breakdown with time so you can see where the day went alongside the narrative summary. Use it to reconcile “what happened” with “where you worked.”
Generate on demand
Summaries can be generated on demand when a day is missing or stale. Trigger generation from the controls in the Summary view; the app queues work against your local data and models.
Progress during generation
While a summary is building, Overshow shows a progress indicator (spinner, bar, or stage text. depending on version) so you know the process is active and not stuck. Large days take longer; keep the app foregrounded if your platform pauses background work aggressively.
If a day looks empty
Check that capture ran for that date, that privacy exclusions did not remove the relevant material, and that summarisation completed without errors. Retry generation after fixing settings if needed.
