Deleting your account
Purge local captures first if needed, then delete your account; what is removed in the cloud and what stays on disk until you erase it.

Before you delete
Export or note anything you still need. After account deletion, cloud services tied to Overshow will no longer be available under that identity. Local files remain on your Mac until you delete them separately.
Delete all captured data (local purge)
To remove captured data from this Mac before or without closing your account:
- Open the desktop app Settings.
- Find the data or privacy section that offers purge or delete all captures (exact labels depend on your app version).
- Confirm the action. This targets local indexed and related material according to the options shown.
Purging local data does not by itself cancel your subscription or delete your web account.
Delete your Overshow account
Complete account deletion at app.over.show (or the account closure flow your organisation uses), following the final confirmation steps. You may need to resolve an active subscription in the billing portal first if the product requires it.
What happens when your account is deleted
Removed in the cloud (typical):
- Subscription and billing association for that Overshow account (subject to Stripe and legal retention for invoices where applicable)
- Device registration and session records for that account
- Other cloud-held metadata needed to operate the service for that user
Not automatically removed:
- Local data on your Mac. Including the database and any files Overshow stores under your user account. stays on disk until you purge locally or erase the disk.
Recommended order: export anything important, purge local data if you want the machine clean, cancel subscription if required, delete account.
