Overview
Overshow uses your web account to manage subscription, device registration, and secure access to cloud-backed services. The desktop app signs you in through the same identity you use at app.over.show.
Sign-in methods
You can authenticate using:
- Google. OAuth sign-in with your Google account
- Microsoft. OAuth sign-in with your Microsoft work or personal account
- Magic link. Enter your email address; Overshow sends a one-time link to complete sign-in without a password
One user has one Overshow account. Use a single email or provider consistently so billing, devices, and sessions stay aligned.
Session management
After you sign in, Overshow keeps you signed in until you sign out or your session expires according to normal security policies. You may be asked to sign in again after long inactivity or if you clear browser or app storage tied to authentication.
If you use multiple browsers or devices to reach app.over.show, each environment maintains its own session. The desktop app holds its own session separately from the browser.
How to sign out
Web portal (app.over.show): use the account or profile menu and choose Sign out (or equivalent).
Desktop app: open Settings (or the account area your build exposes) and choose Sign out. This clears the app's link to your cloud account without removing local captures.
How to switch accounts
- Sign out completely in the app or portal you are using.
- Sign in again with the other Google account, Microsoft account, or email address.
If you move to an account that is not subscribed or not registered for your device, follow the prompts to complete billing or device registration before capture features that depend on the cloud are available again.
