Make every Cowork task start with the full picture
Claude Cowork is a genuinely powerful way to work. Sub-agents, long-running tasks, polished deliverables, browser actions: you describe an outcome, step away, and come back to finished work.
The quality of that finished work depends on the context Cowork can reach at the start. Overshow captures your working screen and meeting audio locally on your Mac and makes the resulting screen text and confirmed transcripts searchable. You decide which verified snippets to bring into Cowork. The shipping Memory MCP can ground Claude Desktop and Claude Code, but its local helper is not available inside Cowork.
How the current workflow works
A direct Overshow connector for Cowork is not currently shipped. Local MCP configuration belongs to Claude Desktop and Claude Code and does not carry into Cowork. Today the workflow is a deliberate handoff:
- Work as usual. Overshow captures and indexes locally on your Mac.
- Search in Overshow for the relevant meeting, decision, slide, or workday.
- Inspect the source and copy only the context the Cowork task needs.
- Add that context to the Cowork prompt, project, or connected folder, then run the task.
- On Pro or during the trial, you can optionally use Memory MCP with Claude Desktop or Claude Code to retrieve the same bounded evidence before handing it to Cowork.
The supported local Memory MCP clients can call three read-only tools (search_memory, get_memory_source, and memory_status) while Overshow is running. Cowork does not call this local helper. Anything you paste, upload, or expose through a connected folder goes to Anthropic under its terms; the rest of the Overshow database stays on the laptop.
The current Cowork handoff is deliberate copy or a file you choose, not direct Memory MCP access.
Pause capture any time. Password managers and private browser windows are never recorded, and that protection is built in rather than something you configure. Add your own exclusions on top: whole apps, sensitive categories such as banking, and any custom domains.
