Quickstart

Arrange access, install, choose local capture and optional meeting audio, then search your work.

Overview

This guide gets Overshow ready for your next meeting on the Mac. The Windows steps are at the end. Capture stays paused until you finish first-run setup.

1. Arrange access and download Overshow

Book a walkthrough so Overshow can arrange your account and entitlement. When you receive portal access, sign in at app.over.show. On a Mac, download the signed macOS build for Apple silicon from your account. On Windows 11 (x86_64), we provide the signed installer directly as part of setting up your access. Existing customers can continue to sign in with their current account.

2. Install the app

Open the download and follow its steps to put Overshow in Applications, then launch it from Applications or Spotlight. If an older copy of Overshow is already in Applications, the new copy replaces it and keeps your history and settings. A copy kept anywhere else stays: see Old or duplicate copies.

3. Connect your account

If the download flow has not already connected the app, choose Sign in. Overshow opens your browser for authentication and returns to the desktop app. The paste-code fallback is available if the automatic return is blocked.

4. Grant local access

Allow Screen Recording and Accessibility from the setup screen. Meeting audio is optional: turn it off to continue without microphone access, or leave it enabled and grant Microphone for local transcription. Overshow explains each grant and shows the next recovery action if macOS needs System Settings or a restart.

When the required grants are ready, choose Continue. Review the preselected capture allow-list, using search and either clicking or dragging apps between Not captured and Captured, then continue to the optional AI tools step. Connect a detected MCP client for read-only memory search or choose Set up later. Finish and start capturing saves the allow-list and opens the app's home view. If enabled, meeting audio waits until a meeting begins or you start one manually.

5. Review your first meeting

After the meeting, open Meetings to review the transcript, summary, decisions, and actions. Use Ask when you want an answer grounded in captured work.

Calendar connection is optional. Add Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 from Meetings → Setup if you want scheduled meeting metadata.

On Windows

The Windows build captures your screen as searchable text. For Ask answers, set up an AI provider in Settings > AI processing: an OpenAI-compatible service with your own key, or a model running on your own computer. Meeting transcription is not yet available on Windows.

  1. Sign in at app.over.show, then run the signed Windows installer we provide directly (contact us if you do not have it) as your normal user account. Run only an installer from your account or sent to you by us, and check that the publisher reads sandigital.uk (San Digital Limited). If Windows shows an unknown publisher, an invalid signature or any other name, stop and contact us. If SmartScreen warns only about a new publisher reputation and the publisher is correct, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  2. Connect your account as on the Mac. Read-only screen capture through UI Automation needs no system permission grants, so setup goes straight to the capture allow-list.
  3. Review the allow-list, finish setup, and use search to find your captured work. Meeting features are not shown on Windows until their backend ships.
