Signed DMG on macOS.
Installation
Overshow installs like any signed macOS app. The only unusual bit is the screen recording permission, which macOS requires for any tool that captures your display.
macOS
- Download the signed
DMGfrom app.over.show. - Drag Overshow to
Applicationsand open it. - Approve these permissions when prompted:
- Screen Recording (required)
- Microphone (only if you want audio transcription)
- Accessibility (optional, improves window and context detection)
- Sign in with your work email, Google, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Complete the onboarding wizard: intro, permissions, optional demo mode, and ready.
Capture stays paused during onboarding. Start or resume capture from the app when you are ready; OCR, transcription, embeddings, and the FTS5 index then run in the background.
One device per user
Signing in on a second laptop signs the first one out. This is deliberate: captured content stays on one machine, and device management stays simple for everyone including IT.
